Getting Started

 

Applicants seeking enrollment into one of TECO's programs shall begin by meeting entry criteria, providing required documentation, completing an application, taking a test of basic skills and paying fees and tuition. (this pertains to most programs)

 

Criminal Justice Academy, Fire Academy, and Practical Nursing (LPN)  students have different entrance requirements....Please see their program pages for more information.

 

 


Step 1:   Basic Skills Testing

Take your Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE)

TABE fee is $25

TABE is a timed test given on the computer; arrangements for a paper/pencil test can be made in advance

Step 2:   Student Services

No appointment Necessary - Walk in during business hours

Take your TABE test scores to the Student Services Office

Discuss your TABE test score results

Discuss your program of interest and what options you may have

Step 3:   Registration

Print and complete the ***Admission Form ***

Bring the completed Admission Form to Student Services with all supporting documentation

 

REGISTER EARLY...CLASSES ARE FILLING!

LATE REGISTRATION CAN JEOPARDIZE CLASS ENROLLMENT

Step 4:   Financial Aid Office

Deadline to Apply for Financial Aid for the second semester is December 19, 2012

***Late applications will delay your class start date***

Visit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid ***www.fafsa.ed.gov*** to complete the online application at least 3 days before

coming in to the Financial Aid Office (Bring Drivers License, Social Security Card, and High School Diploma or GED)

Step 5:   Bookstore Window

Pay $25.00 application fee

Pay tuition,  lab fees, insurance , if applicable, along with any other program related costs

ID badges will be done within the first week of students attending

Parking Decal is included in the Registration Fee.  If a replacement is needed, there will be a $10 replacement fee.
